A playful modernised scene of Dartmoor. the Victorians liked hidden things in their paintings and were fascinated with exploration, consequently, it’s not until you notice it that you then can’t notice it. A real talking piece!
The almost illegible writing on the reverse says ‘ From Greator Dartmoor’.
Excellent condition. Original gold wooden inlay with new frame, glass and backing.
