POA
This very rare lithograph was produced during the height of Braund’s success, 3 years after the Venice Biennial, when he was chosen to represent Great Britain alongside his contemporaries such as Lucian Freud, Henry Moore, Francis Bacon and Ben Nicholson.
The years after the Biennial his work was exhibited at the Redfern Gallery in Cork Street, The Zwemmer Gallery and the Arts Council, the Museum of Modern Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The flowers in the foreground could represent a Nun and a Bishop.
