Jay has over 30 years’ experience of designing and delivering project based courses and workshops to a variety of audiences. For the past five years, this has been achieved through her business, Orchard Learning Studios.
Jay is renowned for her spectacular Christmas crafts, and Crackers in particular. These have been featured in Crafts Beautiful magazine, where Jay has been a commissioned contributor.
Jay’s real passion is in embroidering and sewing which she has been doing throughout her life. Together with Carol Kennedy she designs and produces a growing range of embroidery and sewing kits under the Dizzy & Creative label. Many of their designs are grounded in the workshops which Jay tutors. Dizzy & Creative is steadily gaining international recognition, and Jay currently has four designs licenced exclusively to DMC Creative Ltd for their worldwide embroidery kit range.
Jay likes to teach courses that are both fun and instructive (challenging, but not pressured!). Her craft courses are great group events, ideal for groups of friends or office parties. At the same time, her patient approach will guide even the most tentative through basic stitching and sewing techniques, helping to build confidence and enable all participants to achieve great results.
