Born in Devon, Virginia had an early urge to draw and sculpt things of a surreal and fantastical nature. She studied Art and design at Exeter and then at Kingston university. Virginia has worked as a sculptor for the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, creating architectural details, fountains and statues for the sets. She divides her time between Dartmoor and Sussex mainly focusing on her children’s book illustrations.
