Shari’s paintings are largely inspired by the local environment and the creatures that inhabit it. Working from her garden studio in Cornwall, using transparent glazes of watercolour to capture the ethereal effects of light and colour in nature.
Shari’s watercolours flow and weave across the paper, there are hidden animals in their natural habitats and magical leaves and flowers encompassing them in the most sensitive colours. Shari sometimes uses feathers and naturally found objects to depict fur giving a lovely textural quality to her artwork.
