“My aim is to show nature as I experience it: brimming with stories, curiosities, beauty and magic.”
-Cheri Hunston
Cheri Hunston, is a British artist and writer, based on Dartmoor National Park. It is nature that sparks her imagination and leads her creative process. Cheri’s fascination with the natural world, coupled with her academic studies of Victorian literature has culminated in her unique style, which draws principally upon Art Nouveau, the Arts and Crafts Movement and Victorian illustration. Cheri creates magical pieces that evolve around a narrative and are usually character focused. Her work is intricate and she has been described as a ‘miniaturist who paints big’. She has exhibited with the Society of Graphic Fine Art in London and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.
