We know that everyone’s taste is different. We understand that your home reflects your style. Often though, you can’t envision just how to make it happen.
What artwork would compliment your style? Where and how to hang the paintings, what frames to use, which colours work best? That is where our Art Consultancy comes to the rescue!

The First Steps
It’s Personal.
Knowing and understanding your vision and the style you’d like to acheive is key. Your home is an extension of your personality and taste. We get that completely. So, initially we need to get to know you and your home a little better. Once we have that understanding we can suggest artworks that might work.
Once we are agreed on the style of paintings, we will visit you in your home and bring the paintings along.
Home Visit
We will show you what will work, how to hang, where to hang and show you the paintings on your wall. We advise which mediums: oils, acrylics, watercolour, would be preferable for the room temperature and sunlight exposure. Plus, whether changing the glass to UV would stop artworks fading.
Sometimes the paintings work, but the frames don’t. We can advise on that as well. We can even organise the frames to be changes too.
Memories
Throughout life we accumulate paintings. These often hold fond memories of places and loved ones. They may have worked well in your other homes, but now they just don’t seem to sit well in your new home or different decor. We understand this dilema of mixing old and new, different styles and mediums and can help with that too. Often changing the mount or frame, or changing its position, can solve the problem. We can advise and organise this as well.
Interior Design
If you are having a completely new look, we can work with your interior designers to source and supply the right art work. Whatever the style, from Gothic Revival to modern art we can find just the right artwork. We can even commission bespoke art especially for you.
Investment Art
It maybe that you loved a painting purchased years ago and it has risen in value. You loved it once, but now your tastes have changed. You’d like to replace it with something new. You want it to go to a new home, but don’t know how to go about it. We can advise on current market values and advise on resale on the secondary art market. We might even be able to sell it for you.
Alternatively, it may be a piece that you’d still like to enjoy, but it’s lost its lustre. Years of environmental dirt and grime inevitably take their toll and it may need a good clean or revarnishing. Sometimes changes in temperatures can warp old paintings too, but any painted on canvases can easily be restretched. Or perhaps they have been hung somewhere damp and ‘foxing’:brown marks, have appeared. We can even help and advise with this, as we also restore paintings.
Ceramics & Sculpture
We don’t just advise on paintings. Ceramics and sculpture add to the feel and personality of your home and work with paintings to achieve just the right look. We know exactly what would work and where, and can easily source these artworks for you.

Parking & Accessibility
There is parking directly outside the gallery. Alternatively, there should be road parking nearby. We are a 10 minute walk from the Drake’s Trail.
Dogs, muddy boots, cycling gear welcome, but bikes must remain outside!
